First National Weblog Competition on HIV and AIDS
Iran - Online Competition

Intro:
Iran has the number one population of webloggers in the world, and most of
them are from young generation.
So we initiated to motivate the active webloggers, for public information
distribution on HIV and AIDS and also exploring new methods of health
communications.
Main:
Considering these facts with having high amount of
visitors for both Persian and English Websites of the Iranian positive life
(Zendegi Mosbat Iranian), we organized and designed this competition while
we got very good feedbacks from webloggers. UNAIDS and UNICEF will support
Iranian Positive Life (Zendegi Mosbat Iranian) Institute as sponsors.
The categories of the competition are:
- Children and AIDS
- Women and AIDS
- Living with HIV and AIDS
- Stigma and Discrimination to PLWH
- Myth about HIV
- Addiction and AIDS
- Youth and Risky Behaviors
The jury team would be from well known academic people
working on HIV and AIDS:
Mr. Amirreza Moradi, Iranian Positive Life Institute Manager
Dr. Omid Zamani, UNICEF
Ms. Minoo Mohraz, AIDS Research Center, Iran
Also some of the most-read webloggers are helping the jury team to review on
technical aspects of webloggings. We are gathering all the posts to be
distributed to the judges for evaluation and final nominees.
The Ceremony for Weblog Competition on AIDS 2006 would be
held in the Tehran Bloggers Club on 14th December 2006, Tehran, Iran.

Memorial to honor of those died of AIDS

Intro:
The main reason to organize this program is to reduce the space of stigma
and discrimination toward people who are having HIV and AIDS and family of
those who died of AIDS and couldn't found right time to honor their passed
away family members with the other people when even saying someone died
because of AIDS is something to be ashamed of.
Main:
This program is organized by Iranian Positive Life (Zendegi Mosbat Iranian)
Institute with cooperation from municipality of Tehran City, locality 2, and
Hamyaran Salamat Population which is related to state welfare organization.
Except People living with HIV/AIDS and family members of those who died of
AIDS, we are expecting to see some of the very important people in charge in
the Iran Ministry of Health, Welfare Organization, and Municipality of
Tehran and also from United Nations Agencies in Iran.
Performers of this program would be from people living with HIV/AIDS and
some of the programs are:
- Reading Poetry
- Memorial Program
- Traditional Music
- Showing Film

Iranian AIDS Film Festival

Date: 20-22 February 2006
Intro:
A number of NGOs gathered to organize the 2006 AIDS Film Festival. Iranian
Positive Life (Zendegi Mosbat Iranian) Institute is involved as an organizer
and sponsor in this program.
by reviewing movies, television's programs and scripts made on the HIV and
AIDS topics in Iranian broadcasting organization and also from different
Iranian directors in Iran, this festival is to motivate film makers to
invest on creating HIV and AIDS related movies and programs.
Some of very famous actors and actresses are supporting the festival by
giving notes and comments on how Media can help HIV/AIDS issues and public
information distribution.
