It's not unusual for people with HIV to get into a depressed state of mind. They feel life is over and once you get yourself into this cycle, it can affect everything else in your life like work, finance, health, family, relationships etc. it has a snowball effect.

But you can decide to get out of this depressed state by saying, "No to depression, and Yes to being happy."

Tips to Relax

• Breathe, breathe, breathe is the magic word. Whenever you're feeling uneasy, restless or stressed, do simple breathing exercises. It's the breath of life.
• Occupy your time with things you loved to do before diagnosis.
• Start a hobby-reading, gardening etc.
• Watch comedy movies.
• Laugh every chance you get.
• Listen to music with happy messages.
